Our visioning workshops are highly interactive events using fresh global insight and cross-sector thinking to build shared visions for novel hotel experiences, design options, partnership structures, business models and/or growth platforms.
Usually focused on a specific opportunity or challenge, the visioning workshops are carefully prepared, hands-on, interactive events where participants work together to debate the key issues and define a clear direction for the future.
The basic principle of a visioning workshop is to combine the experienced-based knowledge of the ‘issue owners’ with a carefully curated inflow of insight, partly from the hospitality industry, partly from other sectors. The objective is to reach, through a methodical and structured team interaction, a jointly developed approach to tackle the issue(s) at hand so that the key success factors are comprehensibly identified and the road to success clearly mapped out, including its main milestones and critical stakeholders.
Organisations use these events to bring together a cross-business team, immerse them in new perspectives, look at issues within the bigger context and so help them to:
Envisioning Success:
- Defining a shared future ambition
- Establishing what success will look and feel like
- Detailing the strategic roadmap of how best deliver the ambition
Challenging assumptions:
- Testing current views and priorities against an informed broader landscape
- Redefining specific plans and ambitions to focus on maximising impact
Through a proven approach to workshop design and stimulating content, we achieve this by supporting organisations in two ways:
Thinking big:
- Helping organization see the outside-in as well as the inside-out perspectives
- Identifying major new opportunities for innovation(s) that may change the game playfield
Perceiving issues early:
- Looking over the horizon at emerging trends in and around hospitality
- Understanding the associated issues, challenges and opportunities
While workshop topics and objectives vary, outputs typically include the key ingredients of an actionable plan:
Future vision:
- Defined future ambition and key actions and options
- Outline strategic roadmap of how best deliver the ambition
New strategic directions:
- Inspiration and signals for potential new areas of opportunity
- Partnership and wider collaboration potential
What success looks and feels like:
- How to make the business scalable and sustainable
- Key decision criteria and milestones for growth
New innovation platforms:
- Clarity on sources of sustainable differentiation
- Distinctive business concepts for driving growth
Refining/confirming design directions:
- Key requirements to physical products, space and environments
- Key guest experience and service concepts that will set future standards
